Lanicia Cain, IMH
Founder & CEO
Lanicia Cain is a Registered Mental Health Intern (RMHI) in the State of Florida. Her education and professional background is in both the mind and the body which gives her a unique and effective approach to counseling. Lanicia works to provide clients with tailored treatment plans that can be integrated into their daily lives. Lanicia knew at a young age, she would someday be in a place where she was able to fully help a person in need.
Lanicia has a M.S. in addiction psychology from Kaplan University. Prior to becoming a counselor, she worked in government, where she was able to help families gain the resources needed to improve their quality of life.
Outside of counseling, she has worked as a victim advocate in a non-profit safe house. She has experience in treating children, adolescents, and adults with diverse backgrounds. Lanicia has training in cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, and play therapy as well as addiction psychology. Lanicia is a person-centered therapist. She focuses on a person’s strength instead of just seeing their deficits.
Lanicia continues to keep up with current therapy research by attending conferences, continuing education events, and training as well as seeking supervision.
Michael Trainor, LMHC, CAP
Michael Trainor has a Master’s Degree in counseling psychology. Michael is a licensed mental health counselor and a certified addiction professional with over 25 years experience working with adolescents and adults from various backgrounds and cultures. Michael has experience with inpatient, outpatient, residential, day treatment and case management.
Michael has counselled clients with psychotic disorders, mood disorders, anxiety problems, anger management, ADHD and relationship issues. Michael utilizes a Holistic approach utilizing mindfulness meditation as well as traditional cognitive-behavioral therapies to assist clients in looking inside and discovering a path to wellness and recovery through positive change.
